TikTok has confirmed that TikTok Shop WooCommerce plugin support is ending, with the official WooCommerce plugin phasing out Shop functionality from 31st May — a change that will impact merchants currently using WooCommerce to manage product listings, orders and stock via TikTok.

If you sell via TikTok Shop and rely on the native WooCommerce TikTok plugin, there are important dates and operational implications to be aware of.

Key Dates

  • 2nd March – The official TikTok WooCommerce plugin will no longer accept new TikTok Shop connections
  • 31st May – Full support for TikTok Shop features ends
  • From 1st June – The plugin will support TikTok Ads only (not Shop functionality)

This update does not affect TikTok advertising. However, it does affect how your products, orders and stock are managed if you are selling directly through TikTok Shop.

What’s Actually Changing?

It’s important to distinguish between two parts of TikTok’s ecosystem:

TikTok Ads

Advertising campaigns will continue to function via the WooCommerce plugin.

TikTok Shop (Marketplace Selling)

From 1st June, the WooCommerce plugin will no longer:

  • Sync product listings
  • Import TikTok Shop orders
  • Update stock levels
  • Manage order status updates

In short: Ads remain operational. Marketplace automation does not.

For merchants who rely on WooCommerce to automatically manage TikTok Shop activity, this represents a significant operational change.

What Happens If You Take No Action?

If no steps are taken before 31st May, sellers may experience:

  • Orders no longer flowing into WooCommerce
  • Manual order processing requirements
  • Stock levels not updating automatically
  • Increased risk of overselling
  • Disruption during busy trading periods

For low-volume sellers, manual management within Seller Centre may be manageable. For growing brands, multi-SKU catalogues or multi-channel retailers, this can quickly become inefficient and risky.

Your Options

Option 1: Manage TikTok Shop Directly in Seller Centre

Merchants can manage products and orders manually within TikTok Shop Seller Centre.

This may suit:

  • Smaller catalogues
  • Limited order volumes
  • Businesses comfortable with manual processing

However, as order volumes increase, manual management can become time-consuming and prone to error.

Option 2: Move to a Dedicated TikTok Shop Integration Partner

For WooCommerce merchants looking to maintain automation, migrating to a specialist marketplace integration platform provides:

  • Automated product listing synchronisation
  • Centralised order management
  • Automated stock updates
  • Order status updates sent back to TikTok
  • Reduced overselling risk

Rather than replacing WooCommerce, this approach enhances it — enabling structured marketplace operations alongside your ecommerce store.

Why This Matters for WooCommerce Sellers

WooCommerce remains a powerful ecommerce platform, but marketplace selling relies on dependable order and stock synchronisation.

With TikTok Shop functionality ending in the official plugin, merchants should review how their TikTok Shop activity is integrated to ensure business continuity beyond 31st May.

Planning early reduces the risk of rushed implementation and potential trading disruption.

Next Steps Before 31st May

If you are currently selling on TikTok Shop via WooCommerce, you should:

  1. Confirm whether you are using TikTok Shop functionality within the WooCommerce plugin
  2. Review how your orders and stock are currently syncing
  3. Plan your migration ahead of the support deadline

Leaving this until late May may limit implementation time and increase risk during transition.
